The My-Cap full menu ring allows you to use any type of K-Cup in your brewer. This new gadget fixes the biggest problem with Keurig 2.0 You are no longer forced to purchase expensive branded cups.

In August of 2014 Keurig Green Mountain replaced the standard Keurig K-Cup brewers with a new version 2.0. This new version is very similar to previous models except for ONE thing... It includes a new lockout technology that only allows “Authorized K-Cups” to work. It does this by visually identifying a special ink on the cup. Any cup without this “special” ink is rejected by the machine thus ensuring Keurig’s marketplace dominance.

Just place the My-Cap ring on top of ANY capsule set in your brewer and it will see them as authorized.

Q: I just want a cup of coffee, which option should I use?
A: Use option 6. It defaults to an 8oz cup of coffee.

Q: Sometimes I still get the Oops error?
A: Just turn the ring a little. Sometimes the reader on the brewer has a hard time detecting the color.

Q: What is the carafe override for?
A: This is to allow you to use full menu options without having to insert a carafe in the brewer.

Q: What are all of the options in the full menu?
A: The table below explains what the different number options mean.

Option Number Description
1 - Purple Brews up to 30oz of coffee with K-Carafe pods.
2 – Yellow Brews travel mug-sized coffees from 12oz to 16oz.
3 – Green Brews travel mug-sized Vue packs. The function isn’t specifically defined and leaves room for future Keurig innovations.
4 – Brown Brews Vue pods for up to 10oz of coffee.
5 – Cyan Brew two-stage cafe beverages that require milk frothings, such as lattes and cappuccinos
6 – Orange Brews cups of all sizes. There’s not much information on the sixth setting, but according to the Keurig website, it is used for additional beverage types like hot cocoas or pour-overs.
